Sony at E3

Just finished watching it, personally I was disapointed at the lack of Monster Hunter, one of my favorite games series. Think it would probably work quite well on the PSVita.
I was also quite supprised at the announcement of a ICO rerelease, I remember playing the demo around the first time I got my PS2 though at the time I was terrible at it. I would be interested in trying it again once it's released.

I also noticed a lot of 3D stuff being done, and the Sony TV thing looked quite interesting, one feature I espcially liked was how two players could do split screen, that takes up the whole of the screen instead of just half. It's a genious use of the 3D TV and will probably make Co-Op more enjoyable. Though the price for the TV and additional glasses is a bit high.

  1. I was disapointed about monster hunter too, but they came out with Monster hunter for the wii this past year and monster hunter 2 and 2 unleashed for the psp the previous year. Maybe they need to take a year off? I could have sworn when i was looking at a gamestop future release sheet that there were new ones coming out, might be my imagination.

  2. That 3-D split screen (if I am understanding it correctly) sounds really cool. Is it like one would wear the glasses and see only their own screen?

  3. 3D is getting super popular. I do wish they'd focus on content more than aesthetics.

  4. Hmm, I haven't seen a 2 player coop sharing the same screen without split screen since the days of the NES. This will be interesting to see for sure.

  5. I Really do not get all the 3D shit. My girlfriend for example, cant even see it. being blind at one eye efficiently fucks you over with 3D. you are forced to watch movies in 3D theaters. pay more for them as well due to the glasses. and you have to wear annoying glasses that add nothing.

  10. I'm like that too smilynator, legally blind in my left eye. I can only watch the 3-d movies when they have the clear glasses and even then from what others say I still don't really see it like someone who can use both their eyes.

  11. I was most impressed with PS Vita, but that 3D tv is nice too.

  12. 3D will be the way of the future, for now however, the hype of it being 3D is more important than the content really.

  16. 3D is not only expensive, but it seems no one has studied the long-term effects of using the technology.

  17. I think sony comes second in E3, first one is nintendo with new generation TV console and 3DS and it seems Microsoft didn't take E3 seriously while developing Win8.

  18. i feel really disappointed with the event in general. i wish someone would come with a whole new world of gaming. And i have an idea to make the new laser shooting game in real life. But i have no clue how to set it up yet.

  19. Yeah, the Sony TV looks awesome, but I don't know about price. I'm kind of stingy when it comes to that haha

  20. I wonder if there are potential health effects with these sort of things? I mean epilepsy is set off by normal videogames already...

  21. I wonder how that tv actually works, seems like a great concept.

  22. Ya, I'm not too fond of 3D glasses. I would really want to know the long term effects of them first. I mean regular tv has already has negative effects.

  23. As a 360 owner i'm sad to say Sony is way better on graphics. I'm currently saving for a PS3 with those TV and 3D glasses :)
